Ten of Pentacles tarot card

"Legacy isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A man and woman beneath an archway which gives entrance to a house and domain. They are accompanied by a child, who looks curiously at two dogs accosting an ancient personage seated in the foreground. Pentacles signify wealth and ten is a card about the end of a journey. Together this card shows a happy and financial successful scene

Upright
LegacyWealthFamilyLong-Term Security

You've built something multigenerational. A wealth to pass on to those after you-- romantically you have made a home for yourself and are with someone who brings wealth to your life. Perhaps a graduation or promotion are near.

Reversed

You're thinking of breaking out of a comfortable situation-- or perhaps you are thinking too small (think generationally; how will your actions impact the next generation).

Its place in the deck.

Minor ArcanaNumber card
One of the 56 Minor Arcana. They are about what is happening in ordinary life right now. Each belongs to one of four suits, numbered Ace to Ten, plus four court cards.
SuitPentacles · Earth
Pentacles are the suit of Earth: matter and time. A Pentacles card is always, underneath, about the body, the money, the calendar, the actual physical situation.
NumberTen
The numbers tell a story inside each suit, from a seed at the Ace to the full expression at Ten. Ten is the full expression: complete, and sometimes carried past the point it was useful.

Ten of Pentacles for Libra in Self and Identity

The Harmonizer

Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Ten of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn squares Libra, so the card asks for the move Libra is least fluent in: change one concrete arrangement this week. The friction is the content, not an obstacle to it. Upright, it is complete, which is not automatically the same as good.

When reading about yourself through a Libra lens, the Ten of Pentacles says that you feel like you are a collection of versions that other people have seen in you, a thing that must stay balanced or it will tip into being unlikeable, and something you do not fully trust without external confirmation. This has either kept you from knowing what you actually like, or forced you to become very clear about who you are precisely by refusing to be a mirror anymore. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Libra blind spot in it is being the one who breaks the tie, names the problem, or asks for something first.

In practice that can look like a routine that finally sticks, or the body asking for the basics. Whatever form it takes, it is completing, possibly past the point it was useful.
