Major ArcanaCard 7
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe outer world
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the outer world: building a workable self out of will, learning and structure.

The Chariot for Cancer in Work and Career

The Nurturer

Mars sits outside Cancer's usual Moon register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.

When reading about work through a Cancer lens, the Chariot card says that you feel like work is where you prove you are worth keeping around, a place where showing up matters (or where being essential protects you from being let go), and something that should eventually feel like belonging. This has either made you stay in jobs that do not pay you what you are worth, or helped you find a workplace that actually treats you like family. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.

In practice that can look like a change large enough to reorganise the rest, or the job becoming a different job. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
