"Stop producing. Start receiving."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A figure sits in a luxurious chair in a field of tall grass. Embracing their own femininity and sexuality, they are able to enjoy the beauty around them as it unfolds

Look closer.

Upright
FertilityAbundanceNatureNurturing

This card represents the warmer/sensual aspects of femininity (and motherhood) whereas the High Priestess, the card before this, represents the more cool/mysterious aspects of womanhood. You have cultivated something wonderful through a connection to your inner divine and nature. Appreciate the beauty and passion that you attract

Reversed

You are not attracting the beauty and passion you want. Perhaps you are impatient or perhaps you must connect more with nature or your own raw energy

Card lore

The imagery (the crown, corn necklace and field) is a nod to depictions of Demeter, the greek goddess of the harvest (and mother to Persephone)

Major ArcanaCard 3
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe outer world
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the outer world: building a workable self out of will, learning and structure.

The Empress for Cancer in Money and Wealth

The Nurturer

Venus sits outside Cancer's usual Moon register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.

When reading about money through a Cancer lens, the Empress card says that you feel like money is safety and security you must earn by being indispensable, spending on others proves you are not selfish, and your own comfort feels like taking from someone else. This has either made you spend on everyone but yourself and wonder where it went, or helped you understand that your security matters too. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.

In practice that can look like a change in circumstance rather than an amount, or what money is for shifting. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
