The High Priestess tarot card

"You already know. Stop asking everyone else."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A figure sits in balance between their own negative and positive thoughts. They appear in balance with the spirits and the natural highs and lows that come from life's journey. A tapestry of pomegranates behind alludes to fertility

Upright
IntuitionMysteryInner WisdomSubconscious

The high priestess sits like an oracle at Delphi, waiting to answer questions with a lot of book knowledge and a strong intuition. Drawing this card means you must take all your knowledge and intuition to act wisely in a situation. There is a coldness to this card, a bit of the alien moon goddess. Notice that both the oracle at delphi and an alien moon goddess are not, themselves, taking actions-- this card can also mean a bit of disconnection between intuition and initiative

Reversed

You are blocked from your own intuition. Perhaps you value others (or societies) opinions over your own inner voice.

Card lore

This card had been a reference to the myth of a female Pope (it was originally called The Papess). Hover it was changed to be 'high priestess' based off of a theory that tarot was originally created in ancient Egypt.

Major ArcanaCard 2
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe outer world
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the outer world: building a workable self out of will, learning and structure.

The High Priestess for Libra in The Future

The Harmonizer

Moon is a luminary and Libra runs on Venus, so this card lights something up rather than fixing it. It is asking to be seen before it is solved. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.

When reading about what comes next through a Libra lens, the High Priestess card says that you feel like the future is something you will know once everyone else has decided, a choice that requires seeing all options before you can pick one, and something that feels risky if you commit before checking that it is also what they want. This has either left you waiting for a future that never quite arrives, or forced you to build one without permission and discovered it was actually the one you wanted all along. You already know what comes next, and you are afraid of what it will cost you to get there. The Libra blind spot in it is being the one who breaks the tie, names the problem, or asks for something first.

In practice that can look like a door closing and it mattering, or the next chapter starting without permission. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
