Cups are the water suit, so the Ace of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer squares Aries, so the card asks for the move Aries is least fluent in: say the feeling to the person it is about. The friction is the content, not an obstacle to it. An ace is a seed rather than a result. Upright it means the thing is genuinely available and completely untested.
When reading about relationships through an Aries lens, the Ace of Cups says that you feel like your person is the spark that tells you that you are alive, the mirror you look in to check if you are still winning (or losing), and something you can set on fire and rebuild constantly.
