The Nurturer

Cancer is a Water cardinal sign ruled by Moon, whose natural subject is home, roots, family, the private interior. Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Five of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sits directly opposite Cancer, so this card describes the half of the situation Cancer habitually hands to someone else. What it wants is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Handing that to another person is exactly the habit. Cancer is cardinal: it starts things, and this card is in the middle, which is the part cardinal signs are worst at staying for. Earth and Water feed each other, so this card's logic will feel natural here. Natural is not the same as correct.
