Emotional BalanceWisdomDiplomacyCalm Authority

Someone (or yourself) is upholding the emotional wellbeing of you and those around you. A gentle forcefulness or protective energy around your heart. Unlike the queen of cups, the king represents a more active role (instead of nurturing/healing it's more about setting boundaries and moving forward).

Reversed

A malevolent force in your life, aware of the occult and intentionally taking actions against you. Perhaps a roguish figure who has two emotional lives that do not overlap. Avoid vices and scandal or people associated with them.

King of Cups for Scorpio in Self and Identity

The Transformer

Cups are the water suit, so the King of Cups sits in Scorpio. That makes this Scorpio's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Scorpio already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.

When reading about yourself through a Scorpio lens, the King of Cups says that you feel like your own motives are worth interrogating endlessly, a mystery even to you (or especially to you), and something you will judge harshly before anyone else gets the chance. This has either led to you becoming very honest about what you actually want, or to you believing you do not deserve it. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.

In practice that can look like liking yourself unexpectedly. Whatever form it takes, it is being decided by whoever holds the authority.
