The Hierophant for Scorpio
The Transformer
Scorpio is a Water fixed sign ruled by Mars, whose natural subject is shared resources, other people's money, death, sex, what is hidden. Jupiter sits outside Scorpio's usual Pluto register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Scorpio is fixed: it holds on, and this is a card about beginning, so the resistance shows up before anything has even been asked. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
