Seven of Cups for Aquarius in Work and Career
The Visionary
Cups are the water suit, so the Seven of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer and Aquarius are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Aquarius already operates. What it wants is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
When reading about work through an Aquarius lens, the Seven of Cups says that you feel like work is where you prove the system wrong, a problem you solve from thirty thousand feet, and something you will leave the second it stops being interesting. This has either led to you building something no one else could see, or to leaving before anyone could build it with you. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Aquarius blind spot in it is being ordinary, or worse, being needed in a way that pins them down.
In practice that can look like a resentment that has to be said out loud. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
