Seven of Pentaclesfor Cancer
"Patience isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A young man, leaning on his staff, looks intently at seven pentacles attached to a clump of greenery on his right; one would say that these were his treasures and that his heart was there. Pentacles represent wealth and the seven card represents agency and mysticism. Together this card means tending to your own wealth and taking true agency over your own fortunes.
This card signifies a time of hard work, you are working towards your own goals and are laser focused on that. Building something great takes time and hard work. In a romantic sense it might mean that you should continue to get to know the person you are dating and put effort into the relationship. If you are single it might mean to focus on your own goals before dating someone new.
You have been overly generous with your money or time. It has put a hard strain on your life and relationships. It could mean you are procrastinating (giving too much time to things that aren't as important). Know your own goals and move toward them at a steady pace.

Seven of Pentacles for Cancer
The Nurturer
Cancer is a Water cardinal sign ruled by Moon, whose natural subject is home, roots, family, the private interior. Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Seven of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sits directly opposite Cancer, so this card describes the half of the situation Cancer habitually hands to someone else. What it wants is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Handing that to another person is exactly the habit. Cancer is cardinal: it starts things, and this card is in the middle, which is the part cardinal signs are worst at staying for. Earth and Water feed each other, so this card's logic will feel natural here. Natural is not the same as correct. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
