Major ArcanaCard 7
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe outer world
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the outer world: building a workable self out of will, learning and structure.

The Chariot for Aries in The Future

The Initiator

Mars rules Aries, so this card is not describing an outside force. It is describing Aries to itself, which is why there is no distance in it. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.

When reading about what comes next through an Aries lens, the Chariot card says that you feel like the future is happening right now and you are late for it, something to grab before it passes (or before you miss your window), and the only thing that matters more than what is actually in front of you. This has either made you the person who sees what is coming and moves first, or left you burned out from trying to run toward every door at once. You already know what comes next, and you are afraid of what it will cost you to get there. The Aries blind spot in it is the feeling that nothing you do makes any difference, that you are not the center of the story.

In practice that can look like a door closing and it mattering, or the next chapter starting without permission. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
