"Legacy isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A man and woman beneath an archway which gives entrance to a house and domain. They are accompanied by a child, who looks curiously at two dogs accosting an ancient personage seated in the foreground. Pentacles signify wealth and ten is a card about the end of a journey. Together this card shows a happy and financial successful scene
You've built something multigenerational. A wealth to pass on to those after you-- romantically you have made a home for yourself and are with someone who brings wealth to your life. Perhaps a graduation or promotion are near.
You're thinking of breaking out of a comfortable situation-- or perhaps you are thinking too small (think generationally; how will your actions impact the next generation).

Ten of Pentacles for Cancer in Work and Career
The Nurturer
Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Ten of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sits directly opposite Cancer, so this card describes the half of the situation Cancer habitually hands to someone else. What it wants is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Handing that to another person is exactly the habit. Upright, it is complete, which is not automatically the same as good.
When reading about work through a Cancer lens, the Ten of Pentacles says that you feel like work is where you prove you are worth keeping around, a place where showing up matters (or where being essential protects you from being let go), and something that should eventually feel like belonging. This has either made you stay in jobs that do not pay you what you are worth, or helped you find a workplace that actually treats you like family. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.
In practice that can look like a contract landing. Whatever form it takes, it is completing, possibly past the point it was useful.
