The Hierophant for Aries
The Initiator
Aries is a Fire cardinal sign ruled by Mars, whose natural subject is the self, the body, first impressions. Jupiter against Mars-ruled Aries is relief showing up somewhere Aries had already accepted the difficulty. The suspicion of easy things is part of the pattern here. Aries is cardinal: it starts things, and this is a card about starting, so the danger is starting again instead of continuing. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
