The Hierophant for Cancer
The Nurturer
Cancer is a Water cardinal sign ruled by Moon, whose natural subject is home, roots, family, the private interior. Jupiter sits outside Cancer's usual Moon register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Cancer is cardinal: it starts things, and this is a card about starting, so the danger is starting again instead of continuing. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
